Exhibition | Approximation of an Imperfect Reality
Each photograph is a colour story, using abstract macro botanical photography as the communicator. The botanical's colour, brightness, darkness, shapes, movement and descriptors harmonise to influence your mood and elicit your story.
PROJECT FOCUS
The study explores the intricate connection between flowers and human emotions. It delves into how flowers evoke feelings, triggers memories, and even adopt human-like qualities. Additionaly, it examines the psychology of colour in flowers, highlighting both conscious and subconscious influences on individuals. The primary goal is to deepen our understanding of how flowers and colour influence human experiences.
ARTISTIC APPROACH
This project illustrates how botanical photography transcends mere documentation, exploring the interplay of colour, texture, and emotion to highlight nature's nuanced impact on human mood and perception. Through abstraction, it encourages viewers to contemplate the multifaceted interpretations and procured experiences embedded within each photograph. The aesthetic goal is to elicit emotional responses by abstracting flowers to their colours, using quotes and descriptors to invite viewers to delve into their interpretations and emotional reactions.
